Amazon 宣佈推出全新 Echo Dot ，新的 Echo 系列為用戶提供更佳的智能家居及音樂體驗。新 Echo Dot 為第 5 代產品，它分別有黑色、米色和深藍色供選擇。新版較上一版改善了播放音質，有更清晰的語音及更重的低音表現。而揚聲器的正面更有 LED 用作時間顯示，同時它也可以成為 Eero WiFi Extender。
Echo 系列的主要用途是以語音操控 Alexa 助手，而 Echo Dot 系列也是可作音樂播放之用，定位跟 Apple 的 HomePod mini 接近，但價格則較 HomePod mini 相宜。新 Echo Dot 定價 49.99 美元，現已接受預訂，2022 年 10 月 20 日正式出貨。
